I forgot to say it’s an ochre floral transfer with a pagoda in centre and hand painted blue on top

It looks like an incompletely decorated plate. They are fired several times as the colours are built up, as different colours need different firing temperatures. This looks like a first or second firing. First half of the 1800s looks likely

I can see exactly what you mean. Pattern does look odd as is. it’s strange though that 6 unfinished dishes have stayed together so long.

GEM is the three letter Wedgwood date code, the M of which denotes 1884.
