Jas I Taylor tea set Empty Jas I Taylor tea set

Hi,
My wife has just come home with some nice china from the charity shop. They are marked Jas I Taylor, fine bone china. I cannot find any information about this company, when they operated, and where.
Just wondered if anyone had any information about them?

I suspect it is a retailer or wholesaler's mark. The style looks 1950s.

Thank you. I think she got a bargain as prices being asked online are quite high, just for 2 pieces, and she has a whole box full. The quality seems good to me.

Best to check completed listings on eBay for an idea of value

Yes, that's true. Often a big difference.
She does not want to sell it anyway. Personally I like studio pottery, as made quite a lot many years ago.
