Japanese plate? iii mark Empty Japanese plate? iii mark

This plate hanging was gifted to me by my partners nan. She said she brought it over from Canada which she purchased from a Japanese pottery shop. It’s very heavy and double layered and measures approx 30cm x 30cm. Any further help would be greatly appreciated .Japanese plate? iii mark Image13
