BROWN GLAZED POTTERY VASE SGRAFFITO GEOMETRIC PATTERN CX MARK? Empty BROWN GLAZED POTTERY VASE SGRAFFITO GEOMETRIC PATTERN CX MARK?

Hi -This is a brown glazed pottery vase with a sgrafitto geometric design which has a monogram near the base but is hard to read as its covered by the glaze - to me it looks like two characters with a C at the top and perhaps an X below?  Any ideas please?
