Heather Lewis Dynamic Ceramics, DC mark (not Daphne Carnegy)

The design seems very similar to Daphne's work, but she signs her pieces DC, rather than uses a stamp. There's a label for the Ladygate Gallery, Beverley, which doesn't seem to be in operation these days, so maybe an early piece of hers?

The sticker dates this as pre-1995 when a 1 was introduced after the 0 in UK phone numbers so it is from the period that Daphne Carnegy has been working but.............

there is no suggestion that she has used an impressed seal and the clay doesn't look red enough to me.

I will just have to email her and ask.

It's a no from Daphne, she always paints her monogram.  
Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Galleries often tend to show work by artists that live relatively local so someone more northern is likely.

Diane Cross and Daphne Carnegy made similar pieces but neither are listed as having an impressed DC stamp. There is a mystery dc mark in a triangle by a potter making similar pieces to those two, but isnt by either of them; maybe this is a variation on their mark

It is definitely not by Daphne Carnegy. I have had some work of hers, and it is just not her style.

1988-1995 she was sole potter in Dynamic Ceramics in Aberdeen making cheerful brightly coloured earthenware with fish and birds etc. Not much of her pottery work visible online - except in Aberdeen City Gallery site showing work they acquired and other pieces she had made. She still works as an artist, in USA I think,  but not in ceramics.
