The "Signature" is a slightly incomplete "Moorcroft" (shown upside-down).

I think the other mark says POTTER TO H.M. ......... (would be a Royal Warrant),

Did Moorcroft number their items? There is a hand engraved number on this also. I'll get a photo.

Yes, it could be a shape or pattern/glaze code.
It could be earlier Macintyre, where the Moorcroft signature was also used, but I
don't have much information.
