Looks Chinese. Probably new when they were bought. You might find the marks on the Gotheborg website of 20thC Chinese and Japanese marks

Not sure how new as one has a well done repair but from what we paid unlikely to be of much value. In looking up
mine in ebay or etsy I can see decorative pots I really
like now (husband liked these ones)’that you can buy for about $30 including often high shipping.

Decoration looks transfer printed, and the shape is molded, so relatively modern and mass produced. In the UK they would end up as 50p in the charity shop, or consigned to the bin if damaged.

Understand. So we likely overpaid! These will not be passed on. I have a bag ready for the charity shop anyway.

As a general rule. Anything with a Chinese mark on, treat as worthless. Unless you get cast iron proof otherwise. Okay there are very rare whopee! moments in the News. When old chinese pottery goes for a fortune. But those are in the Hen's teeth area.
The chinese were copying very old pottery centuries ago! It was not regarded as forgery, But a mark of respect!
Plus the fact that chinese production has been Vast.
