Re: Portmeirion Pottery
Early Portmeirion coffeepot, decorated with transfer printed ships and compass.
Difficult to see in the photos but it does have a black lid.
Unmarked on the base. Spotted another on google, also unmarked on the base.

I've got loads of that stuff Naomi - a whole dinner service + cups, mugs etc etc. I hardly use it anymore which is a bit of a shame - comes in very handy at Christmas though!!!

Re: Portmeirion Pottery
I often skip over Totem at the boot sale these days probably because I've seen and bought a fair amount in the past, but this caught my attention because of the depth and crisp detail of the 'totems'. Got me to wondering about the wear on the moulds and how later examples would have necessarily been more diffuse. It really is a feast for the fingertips

Portmeirion but Kirkham
Puzzling why the Portmeirion page is so sparse. So thought I'd add this recent find. It's apparently a Kirham pottery plate but with the Portmeirion stamp, something they did after purchasing the pottery in 1961 and continued to produce designs for Kirham's existing customers. It just looked totally unlike Portmeirion. But thought it would be useful to add here for anyone coming across one of them and is scratching their head!

Re: Portmeirion Pottery
Cheers. I recently saw a condiment or jam pot with a green lid in this pattern but unmarked
