Square vase with funnel mouth

A four-sided vase with a small funnel shaped mouth placed in one corner. Matt, powdery light green glaze with carved abstract geometric decoration. Totally lost about this one. Very heavy and rough to the touch. The base has an incised mark that MAY read YETE 76, although the lettering is not that clear. Any ideas anyone?

I like it, obviously a studio piece ,so almost impossible to know who it is I read it as Pete 79, so we will have to find out alll the pete's that do this sort of thing ,
