Tamara Aladin (b. 1932)

Active at Riihimaki from 1959 to 1976.

Let's start this thread off with a nice chunky 'Safari' vase by Tamara Aladin from 1972.

'Kleopatra' jug in production from 1968-1975 designed by Tamara Aladin - the range comprised of approximately 13 different shapes and sizes in amber, ruby and green glass with clear handles.

Hi - this is a lovely colour, and very heavy. It has a distinctive ribbed base, which I haven't seen before.

Found this little beauty in a charity shop a few days ago buried amongst the flower pots! Didn't buy it but went back home and looked it up then kicked myself. I happened to be going back by that shop today, ran in and it was still there! $8 well spent Happy

I recently bought this 20 cms tall vase which from colour and style I thought was probably by Riihimaki but I have been unable to find any other examples with this wide foot.
Any ideas of origin would be much appreciated
