Re: Mdina (Malta)
I think the tortoiseshell bottle makes a lovely vase!
A couple of damaged attenuated bottles have sold on ebay in the past few months. One had a neck that was glued back together, it looked a bit rough from the photos but Seaward bottles are genuinely rare and whoever bought it is probably quite happy with it. It may turn out to be the only example they ever get the chance to buy. I have one, I know of two others in collections. The damaged one on ebay is the only example I have ever seen for sale online.

Yes definitely Mdina though not recognising the pattern thought it may have made yesterday? a bit of research comes up with Black & Silver range and probably not that recent? found a perfume bottle in this range with a paper label.

Re: Mdina (Malta)
Oh, thanks. But I don't LIKE Mdina (except this one!)
Ah, found it. It's a 'Grecian Globe', yes?

Re: Mdina (Malta)
There's something similar on ebay at the moment, listed as VERY STYLISH 1980S MDINA GLASS GLOBULAR VASE, which is the same black glass with iridescent ribbon decoration, but a more typical globe-style Mdina body.

Bottle shaped heavy glass vase with flared rim, cased. Mdina? Murano??
Hello folks, any suggestions as to the origins of this bottle shaped clear cased vase?
It's 13" tall x 2 3/4" diameter with a slightly irregular blown form, and is heavy at nearly 1.4kg.
The base is flat and smooth, with age wear. Unsigned. Thanks...
Info from Davee: 100% Mdina, the colouring is commonly known as 'Tiger'

Mdina
There was a choice between this one, or a tall version with the same colours.
Seller thought it might be Mdina.
No inscribed mark. Base polished flat. Some wear. Rim is a bit wonky.

Re: Mdina (Malta)
Cheers.
The tall one was the same shape as that ebay one. It had a couple of large bubbles in the base, and this one has it's wonky rim, so I suspect that's why they weren't signed.

Re: Mdina (Malta)
Definitely Mdina, it appears it was quite a short lived decor, mid to late 70s probably. A friend has a couple of signed examples.
