Empoli Glass - Anonymous
There were many vases produced in mainland Italy during the latter half of the last century that are now being commonly mistaken for Holmegaard production because of the bright colours, unusual forms and white inner casing. These Empoli items are much lighter in weight, of inferior quality compared to Holmegaard and of course in shapes and colours that did not appear in the Carnaby range. Here are a few...

Just to clarify for the folks at home - Empoli is a town just outside of Tuscany that housed several glassworks, rather than being the name of an individual company - much like Murano.
A selection lampbases commonly mis-attributed to Holmegaard and Elme that come from Empoli region glassworks:
