Studio Bowl signed - Stavros Stavrou, Cyprus

I bought this on ebay recently for a fiver , ( I don't know why Either) anyway I like it now ,it's a big studio made bowl 14" diameter , heavy , the edges have a deliberate rough cut to them and has a strange  iridecent look , as does the glazed parts reds , greens , you name it it's there then it turns into fat lava black , the blue base has been wire cut and .oh well please help , I'd love to know who made this .

After a wash it came up much brighter.

That's it, I haven't a clue ,it look old , but I dunno .

It must weigh a ton!

Yes ,it's quite heavy , I hate it when I can't even make the name out , Stevtes, stoytes , stoxtes , GGRRRRR..............

Hi Morusb, Thank you very much , I think you may be onto something there ,I have never downloaded PDF before ,but have now , thanks , the pictures of the pottery collection are not clear but I think you could be right on the button with the whole Stavros thing , Well done , Ed
