A small jug (coffee cup size), acquired from a shop in Buck's county, PA. The shopkeeper does not know where it was from. His guess is something from Italy. Do you think this is 20th century Italian piece? Green glaze, with areas of tiny pores. Creamy white body (mostly worn). The unusual aspect of this piece is the gold dusts or specks embedded throughout the red clay.

Again, thanks in advance for your help. - James

I haven't seen Italian pottery like that before, the glaze and base resemble Belgian pots that I have seen but I'm shooting in the dark here

The pot looks VERY old to my potter's eyes.
The main body was coated with a light coloured slip.
The copper glaze hasn't melted on one side?
But the gold flecks are so fascinating to see !!
