This is a lovely handled vase. Made from a very dark clay and thickly overglazed with a drippy orange and brown glaze. Hand-incised to the base with a 'V'.

It's saying possibly Schaeffenacker to me - what does everyone else think?

Fabulous glaze Pip, but pretty sure it's not Schaeffenacker, different clay, base numbering etc , but a great looking piece. Possible German studio piece (?) - help with ID please 392322
