Lustre
An unmarked jug, with vine lustre pattern. Is it Grays?

Re: Lustre
Grays were normally quite good at marking their wares weren't they? Certainly, stylistically, it could well be Grays. Or several other Staffordshire factories. Wedgwood did some silver lustre type wares in the 20s/30s period, a bit like this.
Re: Lustre
I thought a Grays design too but the finish (high gloss) looked more modern. There is a similar pattern on ebay right now item 370298959244 One pattern is clearly a version of the other.

Re: Lustre
Thanks to both of you.I know I've seen this shape (an early 19th century one) made by Grays, and a very similar pattern - even more similar than the ebay teapot- inspired no doubt by this sort of thing http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O235277/jug/ though I can't remember where.
It's certainly not brand new - there's wear on the red rim and a bit of craquelature. 50's, 60's, maybe?
