Hi everyone,
My first post on here, fingers crossed with photos Large 2 handled Pottery Jug 432695
This is a large Vase or Jug in a nice Greeny/bluey glaze, saw it in a charity shop,
liked the colours (a bit Mdina glass like) its 11inches tall 8inches wide.
Seems well made, the mark on the base appears to be z6 ?
Any ideas on who what where appreciated.
Cheers
Andy

Well, bear with me , im more of a glass man.
It appears to be fully glazed inside, i cant see lines as if made on a wheel. Would it have 2 vertical lines if made in a mould? There does seem to be a line of thicker glaze on the line of both handles, could it have been made in 2 halves?

the spiraling thumb marks inside a pot are a sign that a pot is hand thrown, the base of your vase looks like wet clay or 'slip' which makes me think it was made in a mould.

Z6 makes me think this is a trial or test piece
