vallauris i think, but can't work out the signature Vallau11

can anyone help me identify the artist for these dishes? there is an impressed mark which looks like Vallauris, and above that, i believe Cerenne. But i cannot for the life of me make out who the artist might be.

Cerenne is an abbreviation for Charles Rene Neveux, who was operating 1945 - 58.

I think it says (in French) hand decorated and then You and Me (Toi et moi), which I guess would be the pattern name. The initials must be decorators marks, but I don't think it is CRN himself.

vallauris i think, but can't work out the signature Empty Vallauris site

Post by Annette January 22nd 2010, 8:16 pm

Plus the fact that the site talks about Jean Austruy who apparently died in the 90's. Strange as he was alive and well a couple of months ago! Spoke to him on the phone but didnt mention that he was supposed to be dead! A real lesson in getting your facts right. vallauris i think, but can't work out the signature 212118
