Artist name ? - W German Vase
I have a scheurich vase made in the 1970-72 model no. 286-51 I would like to know if anyone knows who is the artist for the floral design on it or where I could get information. Thank you all.

Re: Artist name ? - W German Vase
Hi there, the model no only refers to the shape of the vase and it's size in centimetres - each shape of vase would have been decorated with a multitude of different designs. We'd need to see some photos of your vase so if you could put some up here in your thread please. Thanks.

Here's the walkthrough - there's not really much I can help you with unfortunately since it's correct and does work - I can only say, rather unhelpfully I'm afraid, that you must be doing something wrong (sorry!)

Re: Artist name ? - W German Vase
As Dan says - it's looks much more like Bay Keramik (not Scheurich). Also, you'll be incredibly lucky to be able to get the name of an artist for this decor (or virtually any other mass produced German pottery by the likes of Bay and Scheurich). I don't even think the artist information exists on paper. The only identifiable artists are those that worked on much more limited studio/art pottery from companies like Schaffenacker, Steuler, Ruscha and Carstens.

I wrote to Scheurich co. (Email: mailto: info@scheurich.de
Tel. +49 - (0) 9371/507 - 200 Fax. +49 - (0) 9371/507 - 164) and they are the one to tell me that the 286-51 was their model from 1972 or so but for other informations they say its to long ago. I will search further in Bay keramik. You also confirmed what I think, the artist's names are unlisted. Thank you for the time you took for me .
