pearlware
ok, so this will probably fall well outside the knowledge and comfort zone of most people on this forum (as it's well before the C20th), but just incase someone out there knows a bit about it - here is a pair of pearlware plates, date and maker unknown.... that's where you come in. I think they're pearlware because of a blue tinge to the glaze and stylistically i would date them as mid C19th. If anyone recognises the pattern, colours, style etc, do let me know.
thanks
thanks
Re: pearlware
i should also say that the decoration around the edge is in relief, with coloured enamels overpainted. Some of the colour is done in a pink lustre, which makes me think they might be made in the Sunderland area?
