Minton Secessionist Vases, or not?
Hi, this is my first post on this forum so thank you for having me. These two vases appear to be Minton Secessionist but I really don't know if they are genuine or not. They are @14cms in height. There is crazing to the glaze. As you can see they have a stamp mark for Minton and the number 17 but I can't find any indented marks at all. Any help much appreciated.

Here are some minton marks , I have a book that shows all the minton marks as well, I cannot see your there , Minton Secessionist Ware included special script backstamp, I am not knowledgeable at all about minton , but these vases look a bit like feilding vases that are doing the rounds with a backstamp as well .

Thank you for your response, I think you're probably right, however, a lot of the "Minton Secessionist" vases on ebay seem to have this backstamp and some have no other marks. Maybe they should be approached with caution too.... thanks for your help.

I think there is a genuine mark like this, you do see it quite a bit but whether everything that carries it is genuine is another matter. Minton produced quite a brown tinged earthenware and this looks too white.
Also, I have found this No 17, which I think is genuine, but obviously a different design!

I guess the picture of the genuine "17" suggests strongly that mine aren't. I will probably sell these vases at some point, will have to think carefully about how to describe, they're still nice vases but I wouldn't want to mislead anyone, thanks for your help.
