Green and yellow 1971 vase, LE mark
Hi folks,
Hoping someone can help ID this vase I picked up today. Was presently surprised to see the interesting sig and date underneath - hopefully it's reognisible to someone.

that was my immediate reaction but then I looked at the monogram and it seemedto be LE

I agree with Tenpot, my first thought was UE for Upsala Ekeby (Swedish manufacturer).

there you go then Morus,I suggest you research the Upsala Ekeby monogram and see if you can find a similar example

Fantastic, i really like a lot of the Scandinavian pottery and glass - and for a while was following a few upsala items on ebay, but they ended up being fairly pricey, so this is a real bonus. I'll let you know how i get on.

Sorry ,but I don't think it's Upsala , a painted mark like that and dated points to a studio potter .

I have had a quick trawl and the closet Upsala mark is similar but not the same, the E is more curly and the U, clearly a U shape..also they usually seem to have more info, such as Sweden or the designers initials...the search continues!
