Is the lettering impressed or raised? All the Scheurich i've handled has raised lettering.

Scheurich did moulded marks but also impressed marks like this on dishes planters etc.

it's impressed and the back is as rough as a bear's arse,you could strike a match on it

I think Ed is right with Scheurich, I've got a planter with the same Black/orange combination and the black glaze on the base is very rough.
