Minton Denmark Pattern
I have two Minton Denmark pattern cups with makers marks indicating that they were made between 1912 & 1950. I've tried to research the Denmark pattern but the images I find are quite different and descriptions state that the items date from the late 19th century. My cups are orange and white with no gold at all. I cannot find any reference to this later Denmark pattern anywhere. Is anyone able to shed any light please?

hi, have you looked at this site? it doesn't really give much info, but does show variations of the design.

Thanks so much for your reply but yes, I have checked that site and the Denmark patten they show is quite different from the one I have. I've posted a link to an image of one of my cups - hope I've done it correctly. I know that patterns can sometimes be reissued, but mine is really quite different to all the others that I've seen online.

Re: Minton Denmark Pattern
looks pretty similar to the border pattern of the one on the replacements site to me - just a few bits where the pattern is filled in on the flowers etc. Of course, there is no reference on your cup to the central motif found on the plates shown, but is was quite often the case that only the border pattern from plates was carried through to the smaller parts of a dinner service.

Thanks - I can see what you mean. There are very clear photos on Ebay of that range too and mine looks so much less decorative - eg no gold and less detail within the design. Thanks for your help though - really appreciated. :)

I found this:

Yours seems to theme in with this, although there are still some differences indetail. Looks like cups are hard to find!

Thanks so much Gareth - I hadn't found that photo and yes, I agree that mine looks more like match within that collection. Hopefully, as I've never seen another cup, that means mine will be worth loads I can retire!
