Does anyone know this unusual studio mark..... this time with pictures!
Apologies - rushed to do the previous post before going away, hopefully this one will work.
I have two jugs, both found in Norfolk but years apart
1st one is about 6" tall with a lovely glaze
2nd one is about 10" tall and has a strainer moulded in behind the spout, same glaze and curious mark - any ideas?

Thanks for posting that link - don't think it really helps except it confirms my thought that they pre-date WW2, don't think anyone would use that mark afterwards. In style terms I think they are 'Arts & Craft' era ..... maybe they will just stay on my dresser and remain a mystery.

The swastika sign has been used as a good luck image in some cultures , among religious groups , etc . reversed or otherwise .

Good god - you'll be goose stepping next!
All very amusing but it's not helping with the jugs. I can't believe there isn't someone out there who knows who or where they were made.

I may have made a bit of progress, the mark was used by Minton for their 1927 year mark.
I wouldn't associate this type of pottery with Minton but maybe someone would like to comment on that idea

Looking to be of no help on the pottery mark, which I have seen a few times on pottery in the North East, but the following may help with the Swastika. We did win that war so I will mention it, also 1966 which may be the last 'win' I will see
The swastika's Indian name comes the Sanskrit word svasti, meaning good fortune, luck and well being.
In Hinduism, the right-hand (clockwise) swastika is a symbol of the sun and the god Vishnu, while the left-hand (counterclockwise) swastika represents Kali and magic. The Buddhist swastika is almost always clockwise, while the swastika adopted by the Nazis (many of whom had occult interests) is counterclockwise.
In Buddhism, the swastika signifies auspiciousness and good fortune as well as the Buddha's footprints and the Buddha's heart. The swastika is said to contain the whole mind of the Buddha and can often be found imprinted on the chest, feet or palms of Buddha images.
