Pot marked DP - Devonshire Potteries?
Have just aquired this pot which is clearly marked and dated on underside as in photo. First research suggested to me possibly Devonshire Potteries. Would this make any sense to anyone or has anyone got another suggestion. All help appreciated
Thanks John

Re: Pot marked DP - Devonshire Potteries?
I think it's unlikely to be Devonshire Potteries. According tothis site it was only founded in 1948 and this pot is dated 1936.
Also, I have records of both moulded and transfer printed marks but nothing about a painted "DP".
My gut feel is that the date on this pot made it special to someone, maybe an evening class or open day pot. No evidence for this though!

About 5mm, doesn't seem overthick, although you may be able to tell me otherwise. Thanks to this site and its contributors I am constantly learning
