Tourist tat with insect?
I hope it's alright to bombard the forums but I seem to have so many mystery pots.
I bought this about 20 odd years ago from a charity shop but have never known what it was.
It's about 8cm tall and the glaze is glossy and seems nicely done. There appears to be a name painted around the neck but there also seems to be the remnants of some wording on the body. This wording seems to have partially worn off and looks a bit like marker pen. It seems strange to have the rest of the pot fully glazed but this bit not. Later addition? Tourist placename? Nothing to do with it?
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
