On a visit to my mother in laws house in North Wales this weekend i noticed this
four handled pot on her windowsill in the kitchen. She has no idea who it is by
and nor have I. I told her I would try and find out. So here it is.

Friedrich Festersen, Berlin, Germany (1909-1922) Sany0026

Friedrich Festersen, Berlin, Germany (1909-1922) Sany0028

The base looks like it is marked Fostereen or Festereen

Yep that's what I suspected Dan. Tried Googling variations on the word but no hits at all.
I think it has some age to it judging by the base.

Thanks

Friedrich Festersen, german potter at Berlin, similiar to Bunzlau,
before 1920 i think, very sought after
esp. as more data about F.Festersen are available since 2008(?)
cf. Keramik Museum Berlin.

Brilliant guys, my mother in law will be pleased.
It has sat next to her sink with brushes in for some years so I wonder if she will move it now? Laughter
I didn't think it would be German though, how wrong could I be?
