Once a clock, now a sculpture in the garden! Empty Once a clock, now a sculpture in the garden!

This was sold to me as having once been a clock, I got it from a house sale, a very big house at that. I was told it was commisioned for a shop about 20 years ago. It no longer has the movement but with a little alteration and a few screws its now a feature in my garden. The price? £1
Anyone any idea who it could be?
It a mix of materials, metals, pottery, wood and slate....
