Alan Barrett-Danes died in 2004 but it is worth pointing out that his grandfather, Edward Baker, was an important figure in the birth of the Studio Pottery Movement in the UK. Not only did he throw work for Reginald Wells but was also the chief thrower and potter at Upchurch Pottery along with his sons for many years.

Yes SP , obviously very pleased , he also features on 10 pages in the Tony Birks book "Art of the Modern Potter" alongside some of the greats like Hans Coper, Lucie Rie, Gordon Baldwin and Robin Welch , proper job Most Excellent
