Re: lidded pot Monterey Jade
Probably wont be of any help Dan but I'll start, the shape of the lid reminds me of those Empoli glass jars, so could this be Italian?

It has an arts & crafts look about it, but also look a bit islamic/turkish in design , nice glaze .

Re: lidded pot Monterey Jade
This piece is by "Monterey Jade" from Monterey, California USA. I don't know much about the company, but I believe they were active in the 1960's. I am only aware of molded items in a wide variety of shapes and sizes; I don't think anything was hand made. Pieces were sometimes marked with a hand incised "Monterey Jade" in script. I think other items bore paper or foil labels that were most often removed. The glaze is unmistakable. All the production was glazed in this manner.

Re: lidded pot Monterey Jade
This is one of the few pots you have that I really dislike Dan

You're welcome Dan, always happy to pass on information, but on the downside, I'm afraid I have to agree with Potty on this one.

Wait'll you've seen 100 odd molded pieces with the same glaze; it gets old.
