Re: SECLA (Portugal)
Hi, this is a Hansi Staël design for Secla.
Hand painted from an original by her.
I'll post some more designs later.

Fantastic. So please to be able to identify it - thank you so much.
I'm not familiar with this design - would love to see some more pieces.

Re: SECLA (Portugal)
The original design was made between 1950 and 1957 and it's a part of a line called "Portuguese Motives", depicting traditional professions, like fisherman, fish sellers or fruit sellers.
These designs were reproduced until the 80's, at least.

Thank you so much for the additional information. I love the piece regardless but always good to know its history. I've googled the name and found some further pieces - really appreciate your post.

You can also find a few pieces in my blog:

Although not very similar to yours, I'll post better ones as soon as I get home.

Great. Will take a look.
I didn't pay a great deal for it. It was a lucky find on the weekend. Saw it. Loved it. Bought it.

Hi Brin,
it's becoming increasingly difficult to find good pieces by Aleluia and when you find one, it's so expensive that you can't afford it.
I'm working on a research project about Aleluia, so I deal with absurd offers everyday.
Re: SECLA (Portugal)
Love these. Many thanks for posting. I will definitely keep my eyes open for some more. Is it hard to find?

Re: SECLA (Portugal)
Hi Brin,
I do like very much the work of Miguel Durán- Lóriga for Alfaraz ceramics, but I don't know if you can find some in Costa Brava.
Anyway they have lots of potteries on that region.
Good luck,
Rita
