Any help with id much appreciated, I think it may be silberdistel (but i am usually wrong!)
The markings to the base read 244 over 17, W. GERMANY

Thanks vhb64, mine is only 17cm though, not 22cm, and the numbers/letters are raised, i was under the impression scheurich stamped their marks?

Scheurich 244 came in 2 sizes 17cm and 22 cm,
btw, first prove 1963 , your piece should be later
