I *think* the type of glaze used for crackle glazes is some form of glass, I would assume with as low of a melting point as possible (diffrent forms of glass have diffrent melting points).
Were I listing something like that on ebay for example I'd use the term "Crackle Glaze", but hopefully someone will know more about this and put us right
