German vase 556/20
I have a German pottery vase which is burgundy in colour on the bottom half and cream on the top half. It has a fluted rim, rope twist handle and is marked 'Germany 556/20' on the base. The border between the two colours is drip glazed. I have uploaded two photos to help with identification. Can anyone help me with the origins of this vase and the potential value? Thank you

Re: German vase 556/20
I am not sure of maker , marks like these have been attributed to soendgen keramik , value is always anybodys guess ,however this type of WGP isn't what the collectors are after , I'm afraid it's only worth about £5-10.IMO

Re: German vase 556/20
I think it´s a Jasba jug / handled vase, possibly early 1950s
1. 550 range, all marked GERMANY, but the base marks look different.
552 mini jug
553 mini jug
554 mini jug
556 jug, 20cm - Jasba ?
557 jug. brochure 1951
2. The burgundy red glaze was often used by Uebelacker. may be
a substitute for uranium glazes, Pieces with this glaze from Bay, D&B
and Strehla are rare. Not known to date from Jasba.
