Bird box - British? Italian? Good sig!
Hi all
Can anyone help with this? Nice 1960s lidded box with bird finial, the style of the signature looks a bit Italian to me but could easily be British. Or something else entirely!

Ive got a book with the same signature as Derval, tho this is an ongoing debate, ther is no doubt that it is him only if he did it while working at le murier
Re: Bird box - British? Italian? Good sig!
the design looks very 1950s though...

I just found this which is almost the same with a fish instead of a bird

Thank you all so much for identifying this! I knew it was a nice and good thing but no idea - almost ashamed to say I have Picasso and Capron ceramics in my collection but didn't know about Derval.

Why don't you show as a bit of your collection? I sure everybody would love to see it.
Re: Bird box - British? Italian? Good sig!
I love Capron's work and have seen very little of Picasso's pottery

Perfect trio!
Is the Picasso D. Quixote jug an old one or part of a new edition by Madoura?

Re: Bird box - British? Italian? Good sig!
I've had it about 15 years - I haven't heard of new Madoura editions?
