Mystery yellow thing
Something large and yellow...
A peculiar thing. Stands 15cm high, diameter 24cm. Red, brick-like fabric. Sunflower yellow glaze with matt green and brown areas. Heavy, workman-like construction. I have no idea where it originated from, nor even what century it belongs to. The glaze colours remind me of old pot fragments I've found when field walking which definitely weren't 20th century.

Re: Mystery yellow thing
I'll have a go.
It looks to be quite old. Rustic. The wavy edge looks even and regular. Doesn't look English to me. I can see it in a peasant's cottage in the Caucasus. Is this what they call a Tazza?

Re: Mystery yellow thing
Thanks for that. I'd never heard of a Tazza before but that's what it seems to be. I might be able to narrow it down a bit now.
