I picked this up at a bootsale on Sunday there are no marks on the base, but I was wondering if this mark on the side might be the potter's signature? The body is a red clay.

I would think if thats the only sgraffito decoration then there is a good chance it is.

Can we see the whole pot / base of it please?

I saw this and I think it's the same mark. Also same type of glaze and clay.

I have found a pair of candlesticks with this mark and the same glaze... and thankfully... a label that reads 'Sol Ceramica, Helen Dunwoody' with two telephone numbers, one with Northumberland code and one with the Newcastle area code. Pre 1995 area codes. Excellent

It's probable that Dunwoodie was either a UK distributor or a designer or potter for Planas Marques in Spain. Their pieces are the same.
