Looks like it should be other way up DW or WD, there definately seems to be a vertical line that makes it a D not a C. I reckon they were hoping for a Cardew connection and judging by the amount of page views so did a lot of people.

yes I went through all of the above mentioned possibilities but found no match this has been bugging me all week 466571 the mark looks like one that I should know but it seems not.

I think its a case of the mark being more interesting than the pot, of course if it had been Cardew it would have been hundreds irrespective of the pot. People will always pay for a quality potters mark Laughter

Sadly you are right Dave , ( never mind the quality -look at the seal) Shock
I saw a bernard leach vase and a lucie rie bowl last week and to be very honest they were really awful ,nothing like what they were capable of , the vase was as plain as grey , the bowl would have been better used as a dog bowl , but I suppose it's to be expected that a lot of rubbish was produced by all the big names , they can't all be masterpieces Laughter
