Large studio , any ideas ?
Bought this at flea fair today , it has a superb patchwork type glaze and measures 11" High and 12" across thin heavy disc shape.

Re: Large studio , any ideas ?
so I guess the non raku bits would be oxides, possibly blanked using some sort of resist

Re: Large studio , any ideas ?
I contacted John Mathieson , as I have before regarding Raku pieces , he said at first sight it might not be Raku , he said it is very similar to the early work of Emili BIARNÈS , I wouldn't get my hopes up yet , John is busy with the Art In Action thing and will look into it further in a week or so ,

John has just had it confirmed it is by Emili , ( he doesn't do Raku ) , pieces similar can be googled for his latest work , so I am one happy bunny
