Dark honey coffee pot.
This mark seems very familiar but I cannot find it in the book.
Thanks for looking.

Not sure of the mark, but I've got a feeling that the pot could be French.
BTW, who made the little sandwich plate behind it?

Wood and Sons. Do you like it? It has 258 which is the shape number I think and 'England' on the back. Looks 50's to me.

Re: Dark honey coffee pot.
I do, it's a pretty little plate. I was actually thinking Susie Cooper for some reason, maybe it's the 1950s 'last throes of deco' styling that threw me ,I'll bet the full service would look nice.
I've got a lovely Woods Ivory Ware breakfast tea set (in the loft, as usual) from around 1930; teapot, 2 small cups, milk and sugar, on their original underplate which has recesses for each piece, like a giant 5-in-1 saucer. I might bring it down for a photo or two and start a Woods thread.
Sorry I can't be more help with the pot, but I saw several similar when I was last in France; every farmhouse seemed to have one in that general shape.

Re: Dark honey coffee pot.
I'm not sure of the age really. I'll have a look for a Wood and Sons backstamp site that might help date it.
If you start a thread I'll post some detailed photos.
