This little house is on an old teapot which has Made in England on the base. It's a very strange image. Any ideas what it symbolises please? Thank you.

I saw it as a crashed 'Space Invader' from the 1980's arcade game.
But seriously (makes a change for me) I'd have said that following the old English Chinoisserie style, it's possibly a faux-Chinese symbol.
