Is this Weller "burntwood"?
I bought this pot at an estate auction. It was described as Weller 'burntwood" 1910. I don't know anything about the subject, but I have a couple of concerns. First, the pot is not one of the burntwood designs in the two Weller books I checked at the library and my larger concern is that the pot seems not to be all that well made. The mold lines are prominent and the dimpled pattern a half inch to either side of the mold line is flattened and discolored. Did Weller sell "seconds?"
The pot, pictured below is 9 1/2" tall. There are no marks on the bottom but a penciled "WE/100". Any information would be appreciated.
