John A Lowe made similar pottery in Tenessee but he was a 19th Century potter

It's piece like this that are most annoying. A good, interesting pot and the potter has even bothered to put their surname but I have no idea who made it

You could send some photos to an expert in case it's by John Lowe - it is a traditional form so it might be 19th Century
