Very Small Studio Pottery Jar, Seal Covered In Glaze.
Hi all,
Nice little jar, is has a mark but I am unable to make it out, due to being half covered by the glaze.
Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Potty.

I know I am dreaming but keep seeing LD but not similar to his pieces :) so maybe it is "LSD"

You need to see a doctor about that Terry
Could well be LSD, I was thinking the letter in the bottom right could be an R?

Thanks Dan, I had a look to se if I could find any bits by him with a similar mark, but was unable, the glaze is a close match though as you say.

I now think this is by Pierre Brayford, I bought a larger one and the seller said it was by Pierre someone and the location for him in yates-owen fits. I also have a much larger fruit bowl by him.

Re: Very Small Studio Pottery Jar, Seal Covered In Glaze.
Just came across this forum!
It is one that I made - used to make several domestic items in this glaze combination. Reduction fired cobalt blue glaze with iron rich glaze trailed over. Also similar style with a dark blue/green glaze as a base. stopeed making them sometime in the 90's I think.
Pierre Brayford
