I have a feeling she called it a wisteria pattern, but I'll have to double check that.

Simon Rich's early pieces are similar. I wonder if he was Peter's apprentice

Here is another one, I would say better than your usual 1970s generic vasePeter Clough, Nantwich Pottery - Page 2 Image13

Peter Clough, Nantwich Pottery - Page 2 Empty Peter Clough, Nantwich Pottery

Post by Timo January 23rd 2022, 2:02 pm

Bought this vase this morning and came home to look up the potters mark.
There seems to be  similar images online relating to my vase with the same mark.
Then there is Peter Clough with a Nantwich pottery mark.
Any help with clarification is gratefully received.
The vase is 160mm tall. It seems to have a flatish back and the interior is blacked out.
Thanks,
Tim

It looks like the Peter Clough mark. Online there are various pots by him which are landscape pots in a similar vein to this. Looks right to me but I’ve not had his work before.

Yes. It's the mark he's used from 2000 onwards. From 1985 it was in a round stamp. Before that he used the Nantwich Pottery stamps
