Unusual Studio Pottery Vase, Marked JC or CJ? Empty Unusual Studio Pottery Vase, Marked JC or CJ?

Anyone know who made this vase please?

Closest I have seen is a doughnut vase by Clive Brooker in an online shop.

It could be a evening class item, but I would have thought it would take a fair bit of skill to make a vase like this.

Thanks,

Potty.

P.S. not really my cup of tea, but I do like how unusual it is, so at 50p hard to say no.

Don't know who made it but it does look more than an evening class item.

I am probably as intrigued as you to find out a little more about it but I suspect we are going to be disappointed.

Thank for your input SP, nothing wrong with evening class items as such, but good to know you agree it looks a bit more professional than that.

Knowing this forum, we could well find out, but it could be in a year or two Most Excellent

This vase actually stands very firm, I would have it on display, but I'm too scared of it falling over, because it looks like it should Big Laughter

Unusual Studio Pottery Vase, Marked JC or CJ? Empty Bohemian glass vase?

Post by Inventree August 8th 2024, 12:02 pm

Hi, I have bought a lot at auction because this huge vase caught my eye. It is 60cm high! It is painted with enamel I think, but I am not sure what it is? Does anyone know? Bohemian, Victorian? Midcentury? Your collective knowledge would be gratefully recieved. ☺Unusual Studio Pottery Vase, Marked JC or CJ? Img_8411
