It's a long shot, but Paul Sample might be worth a look. He's the artist that did the illustrations for Tom Sharpe's 'Wilt' books (incidentally some of the funniest books I've ever read, genuinely laugh out loud funny, but didn't really translate well to film); your's is tame by comparison but the style is similar.

I have looked at 'Paul Samples' art and I doubt that it is his.

Its great, but I would love someone to explain to me what's going on. Like the critics on the ARS do.

But you can see why I thought it a long-shot possibility?
The ability to fit so much into a small space is very like how Sample basically fits the whole story into the cover art, and there are details that are reminiscent of his style; the nude on the first floor could be from the covers of The Throwback and Wilt on High, for example.
Is it framed Alan?

yes it is framed and taking that off may reveal a signature but also leave it exposed to damage.
It measures about 50cm x 45cm

I have found the signature on this painting and it is by 'Phil Munroe'.
Does anyone have any information on the artist?
