RJ Leakey Newick; anybody know of him/her?

Had this one for a long time. The only R. Leakey I know of is Richard, the famed anthropologist, but his middle names are Erskine Frere (honest!) so not his.
Google's no help so I've bought it to the experts

So, pre-google era. Newick is in East Sussex. Might still be a pottery there. Local enquiry may stand a chance of getting more information. Find the oldest person there and they will know for sure...

The village does have its own web site so you might be able to get a contact from there.

I wasn't able to see an art group on any kind but they do have an Amateur Dramatics Soc. where Dirk Bogarde start out - the secretary is Barbara Bone and she has an email address barbara@terrybone.co.uk

You could be brave and try emailing?
