So, pre-google era. Newick is in East Sussex. Might still be a pottery there. Local enquiry may stand a chance of getting more information. Find the oldest person there and they will know for sure... Happy

The village does have its own web site so you might be able to get a contact from there.

I wasn't able to see an art group on any kind but they do have an Amateur Dramatics Soc. where Dirk Bogarde start out - the secretary is Barbara Bone and she has an email address barbara@terrybone.co.uk

You could be brave and try emailing?
